CBD: Full Spectrum vs Isolate - What’s the difference?

CBD ISOLATE vs FULL SPECTRUM CBD - What’s the difference? Which is better? Products such as Hemp Bombs capsules, Green Roads CBD Oil and CBD edibles are all EXCELLENT full spectrum CBD products, in my opinion. I personally primarily use Hemp Bombs CBD capsules and Green Roads CBD edibles for muscle relaxation, help ease chronic pain and for insomnia. I use Green Road's CBD Oil sublingually to help ease chronic pain. I also use it in my vape for anxiety relief and mood enhancement. I personally only vape CBD oil first thing in the morning and throughout the early parts of the day as I have found that it has a "stimulant type effect" on me.          

500MG Pure Crystal Isolate by Heady Harvest. I must admit, this is the first and only batch of CBD crystal isolate I have tried throughout my entire CBD journey. I'm not writing it off...honestly, I got this very batch while learning to use my nectar collector, so I feel a good amount was wasted during that learning curve. I also topped my flower with it a few times. For me personally, I found that if any, CBD pure crystal isolate has a similar 'stimulant type effect" to the Green Roads CBD Oil (pictured above). Another "pro" is the price, as it's $39.99 for 1.25 grams at my local smoke shop.

-When you read “99% CBD Isolate”, that seems fantastic! However, CBD isolates do not give you the plant’s full medicinal benefits...because it’s not the full plant. CBD isolate is JUST CBD, nothing else. It is strictly CBD isolate.

-Making CBD isolate is like “pulling apart the plant”. To put it in a way that’s easy to understand, think of CBD isolate like a vitamin C supplement. Let’s use an orange as the example...When you extract vitamin C you miss out on all of the other vital nutrients in the orange. All you’re getting is the vitamin C that has been ISOLATED from the orange. It’s always best to consume the whole plant so all of the cannabanoids (CBD, CBG, CBDA etc) can work together synergistically. 

-When we start to “pull apart the plant”, it’s kind of like a pharmaceutical. Turning something natural into a “drug”. CBD isolate is made by isolating the CBD in oil and usually turned into a powdery substance. Evidence shows that above a 25MG dose, CBD isolate stops being effective. Full spectrum ‘CBD continues to be effective in doses much, much larger than 25MGs.

-There are over 113 known cannabanoids in the cannabis plant. If a product is labeled as full spectrum CBD that  means that all of the cannabanoids are present. All of the terpenes and other molecules are present.

-“The Entourage Effect”: The entourage effect is the idea that one single compound such as CBD doesn’t drive all the efficacy. The CBD needs the CBN, CBC, CBG + all of the other cannabanoids terpenes along with it to be medically effective. All the chemicals of the cannabis plant are working together to be synergistically effective.

Final thought: This princess will be carefully reading product labels to make sure I am getting full spectrum CBD products.
